While I'm working on intensive research and other Big Plans, thought I'd pass along these beauties (click on pix for direct links) -- reportedly straight from the "Original Model home" here in South Land Park Hills.
Per Schiff's Estate Sales in Sacramento, "These are original Eichler Kitchen Cabinets. They came out of the Original Model Home for Eichler in South Land Park, CA. There is an 18" built in cutting board and an opening of 26 13/16" for a sink. The counter top is formica. Measures: Bottom Cabinet 36 1/2" tall, 25" deep, 95 1/2" wide. Upper Cabinet 24" tall, 13 3/4 deep, 87" wide."
The matching tall cabinet/storage pantry from the same home is also for sale and measures: 80" tall, 13 5/16" deep, 45" wide.
I really love the multi-tone colors and that these are the real thing! Anyone looking to undo a bad remodel or re-authenticate their Eichler Home kitchen?

I'm on my phone and didn't see your comments until now, SacEichler and jwoo -- the first thing I noticed was the price. But I thought about it and having than fabricated from scratch would also be quite costly. And while someone didn't want to keep them, it's a huge restoration opportunity for those of us who love them! So glad they didn't get junked.

Gretchen! I surfed over to your site from retrorenovation.com - sf troy here. And WOW thanks for sharing those Eichler cabinets. Have you seen them? If so are they in decent shape? I'm going to call the estate sale place tomorrow - I'm dreaming of someday restoring my kitchen to it's original - the current wood cabinets are circa 1966 kitchen reno. I've never seen the Eichler's up there in your neck of the woods - where are they located? Anything else you'd suggest seeing/doing? Your blog is *such* an amazing resource, thanks!

and driving around the S. Land Park neighborhood for a great view of lots of different MCM custom homes. Let us know how it works out -- remember our homes were built between 1955 and 1956. What year was your Eichler Home built?
The closest thing we have to an Eichler in the Portland area is a Rummer (VERYsimilar floorplans!). Our kitchen was remuddled and we're well on our way to putting things right. Here's our blog, with the kitchen re-do being the most recent posts.
