Curtains for you, my pretty!

I love these vintage curtains in our kitchen and don't have the heart to replace them even though they are slightly fading in places. Something about the rounded geometric patterns reminds me of tiki, jazz, and tribal art.

They are from House 'N Home Fabrics & Draperies, Inc. and are medium weight.

I haven't found anything remotely as comparable, but here are a few fabric contenders that would have to be custom sewn:

If anyone happens to see an excellent and comparable pattern, please let me know.

That first one's pretty darn close! You are so lucky to have those original curtains. We were left with country-style vintage 1980s, except in the living room, where I think the drapes *might* be from the 60s.

Love the other fabrics you found, too!

Where did you find the others, BTW? I thought the pix would link to the sites, but they don't.

Thanks Tikimama, I think the curtains may have been 70's replacements for the original ones but very very cool.

I'm still learning how to properly use the blog features. Will work on getting the pix to link.

Aww, thanks! One of the many reasons I fell in love with the house.

Some of the other patterns come from Melinamade (just google for their site), and other vintage barkcloth that can still be found today (either reprints or deadstock). But I'd hang on to these as is if you can.

Thanks Chimay -- I am definitely keeping them; love them too much to let them go!
